Governance & research integrity

A durable research culture depends on scientific independence, clear provenance, and responsible stewardship.

Scientific integrity

Our research records assumptions, methods, negative results, uncertainties, and the precise scope of established claims.

Publication

ILC supports scholarly writing and scientific communication, with appropriate protections for patents, confidentiality, and third-party obligations.

Institutional stewardship

ILC maintains its governance, financial stewardship, and scientific decision-making in support of its research mission. Partnerships are considered for their scientific value, responsibilities, and appropriate documentation, with conflict-of-interest review when relevant.

Scientific continuity

Research programs preserve their publication histories, contributor attribution, methods, and supporting evidence. Research agreements, when applicable, specify the respective responsibilities for data, publication, and intellectual property.
